A Hawaiian Reception

JW Marriott Ihilani Resort | June 26, 2010 | Oahu, Hawaii

Dorrelyn and Peter actually got married in California but since Dorrelyn is from Hawaii, she decided to have a reception for her Hawaii family.  Peter and his family is actually from Ireland, so this ended up to be a nice family vacation for them.  Although there was a bit of rain, it turned out to be a beautiful day with beautiful and fun people.  Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Martin.

Tatyana & Robin | Engagement Session

Waimea Bay, Oahu, Hawaii  |  June 27, 2010  |  Engagement Session

My day with Tatyana and Robin started with totally fun pictures on the beach.  They knew how to do Yoga and even did a chest-bump for me.  Eventually we ended up in the water, which led to taking some quite stunning photographs.  A couple so creative and willing to go to great depths, I actually ended with an ear infection a couple of weeks later.  Can’t wait to see the fun at the wedding next month guys!

Julia & David | Trash the Dress

Waimea Bay, Oahu, Hawaii  |  June 6, 2010

What a fun time I had with these two wonderful people.  Not only did we trash Julia’s wedding dress but take a look at David’s outfit.  Yes, he’s a military man and look how nicely pressed his outfit is.  I couldn’t believe he took it in the water.  Also, this adventurous couple jumped off the big rock at Waimea Bay, TWICE!  But it was all worth it because at the end of the session, they got to see and swim with a turtle in the area we were swimming in.

Can’t wait for their wedding day.  Click on any image to go to the lightbox.  Enjoy!

Being part Indian, Kathleen wanted to do a trash the dress session in an  Indian Sari along with a wedding dress.  We did two locations: the ocean and a swimming pool.  We had a lot of fun with Kathleen and Paul.

I had a blast working with Liana and Tristan.  They were so loving and very affectionate towards each other which made the photography that much easier to do.  Their engagement session was shot on the East side of Oahu, Hawaii with their wedding ceremony at the Kamehameha Schools Chapel, then followed by reception and dancing at the Loulu Palm Estate on the North Shore.
